Roachdale-Howard Bridges MYERS, 61, died at 5:30 a.m. Thursday at Methodist Hospital. He had been ill for the past year. He was born Sept. 1, 1906 in Putnam County, the son of Franz O. and Chasey Bridges Myers. He graduated from Ladoga High School and then from Purdue University in 1928 where he was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. Mr. Myers was married May 2, 1931 to Annabelle Parr at Lebanon. He was a member of the Roachdale Presbyterian Church, Roachdale Masonic Lodge, Greencastle Kiwanis Club and Greencastle Elks Club. Mr. Myers was a director of the Roachdale Elevator, member of the Putnam County Hospital Board for 16 years and a prominent farmer in the Roachdale community. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Sarah Corley of Lafayette and Janet Harless of Walled Lake, Mich.; four grandchildren, and a sister, Madonna Atkins of Indianapolis. Friends may call at the Perkins Funeral Home at Roachdale from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Roachdale Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at the Brick Chapel Cemetery. The family requests that donations be made to help equip the Putnam County Hospital in lieu of flowers.

Myers died yesterday at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was a 1927 graduate of Purdue University and member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity and Putnam County Hospital Board for 16 years. He was a member of the Roachdale Presbyterian Church, Roachdale Masonic Lodge, Greencastle Kiwanis and Elks Lodge.
