Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Dodson Funeral Home, Pana with visitation 5-9 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Knobs Cemetery, Tower Hill.  Memorials: Gideons. Mr. Murphy was born in Coatsville, Ind, son of George and Ella Murphy. He was a retired foreman for Illinois Central Railroad and a member of Knobs Baptist Church and Shelbyland Camp of the Gideons. He married Lily Pyne in 1934.  Surviving are his wife; sons, Don and Art, both of Tower Hill; sisters, Effie Brown of Greencastle, Ind; Mildred Prsybylski of Riverview, Fla; Annis Grider of Fincastle, Ind; four grandchildren; one great grandchild. – kbz
