MOORE, Marshall A. - Putnam

On Monday evening with the departing day, Hon. Marshall A. Moore departed this life after a short sickness in the 62d year of his age. Deceased was one of Greencastle’s long time residents and stood high in the estimation of the people.  He was an able attorney, a neighborly neighbor and as an official was true to the trusts reposed in him – he had been Mayor of the city and long served on the Board of School Trustees of the city. The funeral took place from the family residence on East Anderson Street Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock and was largely attended, Rev. TH Willis pastor of Locust Street ME Church of which the deceased was a member conducted the funeral services assisted by Dr. Alexander Martin. - kz
