MONNETT, Harvey Marion - Putnam

Harvey Marion Monnett, age 56 years, well known owner of a shoe repair shop in Greencastle for the past 11 years, died at his home, 402 E. Hanna Street Thursday afternoon at 3:15 o’clock following a cerebral hemorrhage suffered Tuesday. Funeral services will be held from the McCurry Funeral Home Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock in charge of Rev. Victor L. Raphael.  Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. The deceased was born near Coatesville the son of Franklin Monnett and Lucy Miller. He was a member of the Greencastle Presbyterian Church. Besides the widow, Lucy Osborne Monnett, he leaves a son, Robert M. Monnett, a senior in Indiana University, five brothers, Charles and Archie of Coatesville, Wilbur of Pittsboro, Garie of North Vernon, Verley of Indianapolis and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Powers of Carpentersville. – thanks to Cindy  A
