MOLER, Joseph - Putnam

Joseph, the son of John and Sarah Colliver Moler was born in Nicholson County Kentucky June 2, 1834.  He came to Putnam County Indiana on Oct 1, 1853.  Married Lucy Newgent, Nov 1, 1859. To this union there was born three children John Edard died Oct 1871; Levi Shelby and Stella May.  He moved to Pulaski County Indiana in 180 and during the year 1861 served as trustee of Cass Township.  In 1863 he removed to Putnam County and settled on the farm where he died Jan 12, 1914 aged 79 years, 7 months and 10 days.  He was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason in Portland Lodge #90. Nov 8, 1853 (185 ? – flip in paper).  He was of a family of 10 children of thom Jefferson F of Schell City Mo; Pressley C who made his home with him and Mrs. Emma Brattain of Lebanon Ind together with a widow, son, daughter and two grand daughters survive him. - transcribed by kbz
