MIZE, Ray - Putnam

Veterans Home – Retired ships pilot Ray Mize, 80, died at 2:55 p.m. Tuesday in St. Elizabeth Hospital. He had been a patient there since Jan 20.  He moved to the Veterans Home from Greencastle in 1977.  In 1974 he was married to Jane Hartley who survives.  Mr. Mize was a ships pilot in New York Harbor. He was a Navy Veteran of World War I and an Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the European and African theaters.  The widow is the only survivor. - kbz
