Ivan Russell Miller, 84 of Martinsville died Sept 8, 2001 in Morgan Hospital and Medical Center. Born Oct 4, 1916 in Putnam County, he was the son of James Otha and Lola E. (Arnold) Miller. He married Helen Marie Pleake Feb 24, 1934.  She survives.  Miller was a farmer and was employed by the Indiana Department of Transportation at Greencastle, International Harvester at Indianapolis and Twigg Industries at Martinsville.  He was a member of Alaska Christian Church in Alaska, Indiana he was a member and past master of Masonic Lodge 440 F&AM at Eminence past worthy patron of Order of Eastern Star 548 of Eminence and a member of Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite. He was a former Republican precinct Committeeman for Ashland Township in Morgan County.  Other survivors include two daughters, Charllottee Wheeler of Martinsville and Jeanette Tudor of Huntington; three sisters, Mildred Vincent of California, Jean Hanlon of Fairmount, Ind and Wanda June Mason of Bainbridge; two brothers, Kenneth Miller of Fillmore and Marion Miller of Cloverdale; two granddaughters Kathy Jo McIlrath and Cynthia Marie Gray all of Huntington; a grandson, Robin Lynn Wheeler of Boston, Mass and five great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two daughters, Ruth Marie and Donna Rae Miller; two sisters, Margaret Huber and Lela Brown and a brother, Maynard Miller. The service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale. Chaplin Everett Van Winkle will officiate. Interment will be in Mannan Cemetery at Cloverdale. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A Masonic memorial service will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday during visitation. – kbz
