Services for John Henry Miles, 74 of 728 W Wayne St who died Saturday in St. Joseph’s Medical Center after an extended illness will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Olivet AME Church. Rev. James Moody., pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle, Ind. Friends may call from 5-9 p.mm. Tuesday in Clark’s Funeral Chapel, where Masonic memorial services are scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. He was born July 23, 1908 in Greencastle and lived in South Bend for 45 years coming from Terre Haute, Ind. He is survived by two sons, Chuck of Terre Haute and William of Thornton, Colo; four grandchildren; a sister, Miss Frances Miles of Greencastle and two brothers, James of Chicago and Floyd of Indianapolis. He was a member of Olivet AME Church, St. Peter’s Lodge 31 F&AM, Wabash Consistory 77 and Mohomet Temple 134. He was a 33rd degree Mason. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the US Army. – kbz
