MICHAEL, Bertha - Putnam

Mrs. Bertha M. Michael, an 84-year-old woman who spent her lifetime in the Amity Church community, died this morning at 6:40 in the Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle.  Her condition was critical for about 5 days and she formerly made her home on Quincy RR 1.  The daughter of Noah H. and Hattie Mannan Patrick, she was born in Putnam County Dec 10, 1890.  On Aug 6, 1913, she married Roldo H. Michael who survives.  Mrs. Michael was a member of the Amity Baptist Church.  Her funeral arrangements are pending at the Whitaker Funeral Home at Cloverdale.  Survivors include a son, Jonathan Michael of Washington, a grandson, two sisters and two brothers. The sisters are Miss Ella Patrick of Quincy RR 1 and Mrs. Rena Truax of Pittsboro while the brothers are Oscar Patrick of Cloverdale RR 3 and Lee Patrick of Indianapolis. – kbz
