MERCER, Roscoe - Putnam

Brazil – Roscoe M. Mercer, 77 died at 10:20 a.m. Monday in the Clay County Hospital. He was a member of Canaan Methodist Church.  He is survived by the widow, Bessie; a son, Melvin, RR 1, Carbon; two daughters, Mrs. Frances Summers, RR 3, Brazil and Mrs. Marjorie Adamson, RR 2, Brazil; a brother, George, RR 1, Reelsville; three sisters, Mrs. Rella Thompson, Clay City; Mrs. Virgie Lane, RR 3, Brazil, and Mrs. Zola McCullough, RR, Reelsville; 7 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Miller and sons Funeral Home.  Brial will be in Calcutta Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday. – kbz
