MASON, Ethel E. Christy - Putnam

Ethel E. Mason, 81, Greencastle, died Monday at Putnam County Hospital.

She was born on March 24, 1902, the daughter of John and Agnes (Girton) Christy. She married Ralph O. Mason, who preceded her in death in 1958. Mrs. Mason was retired after several years employment as payroll clerk at American Zinc Products. The deceased was also a member of Sherwood Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Harold Mason, Greencastle, and Leroy Mason, Decatur, Ill, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Zella Shinn, a brother, Roy Christy, and a great-granddaughter, Jessica, who died in 1980.

Services will be held at 10:30 a. m. at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, Rev. Elgin T. Smith will officiate. Interment will be in Fillmore Cemetery. Friends may call 2-6 p. m. Tuesday.
