Passed away Wednesday at Putnam County Hospital
Mrs. Cora A. Mason, 89, mother of Deputy Sheriff Paul Mason, passed away in the Putnam County Hospital at 6:45 Wednesday evening. She had been admitted to the hospital on June 26. Mrs. Mason was born December 27, 1872 in marion township, the daughter of John and Eliza Christie Jackson.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and a member of Group Three of the Christian Church.
Survivors are: one son, Paul M. Mason, Greencastle; four daughters, Mrs. Roxie Hazelett, Newfane, N. Y.; Mrs. Charles Mills, Greensboro N. C.; Mrs. WIlliam B. Jones, Greencastle; and Mrs. Everett Elmore, Greencastle R. 2; two brothers, Guy Jackson, Fillmore, and Clifford Jackson of Freeport, Ill., fifteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Mason in 1920; two sons Ralph in 1958 and Cleon in 1936 and an infant daughter.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm from the Rector Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Fillmore cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:00 this evening.
