George Marshall, the subject of this sketch was born in England on May 13, 1810 and died March 19, 1892. He was twice married. He leaves an aged companion, one son and one daughter, besides a host of friends to mourn his loss, but our loss is his eternal gain. He was a member of the Baptist Church for many years and he bore his suffering with Christian fortitude and never was heard to murmur or complain, but when the death angel came he was ready and willing to depart.
