Mr. Elijah T. Mannan, age 78 of R3, Cloverdale beloved husband of Ruth, foster father of Tony Osborne, foster grandfather of Kimberly. Funeral Friday 2 p.m. Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale where friends may  call. - kbz

Services for Elijah T. Mannan of Cloverdale RR 3 will be conducted Friday afternoon.  The 2 o’clock services will be at the Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale with Rev. Don Lincicome officiating.  Burial will be in Mannan Cemetery.  Failing in health for several years, Mr. Mannan died Wednesday morning at 7:25 at the Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle. The 78-year-old retired farmer was born on Putnam County family farm Jan 14, 1898.  His parents were Elmer E. and Effie Rule Mannan.  On Nov 29, 1924, he married Ruth Truax who survives.  Mr. Mannan spent most of his life in the Eminence and Amity communities. Besides his widow, he leaves a foster son< Tony Osborne of Cloverdale RR 3 and a foster granddaughter Kimberly.  Friends may call at the funeral home in Cloverdale any time. – kbz
