MAHONEY, Harriet Grogan - Putnam

Mrs. Harriet Mahoney, 66, of 2915 South Street, died at St. Elizabeth Hospital Friday afternoon at 1:50 o’clock where she had been confined for the last two weeks. She had been in failing health one year.  Born near Greencastle on January 20th, 1869, she was the daughter of Charles and Henrietta (Clark) Grogan.  Her husband, Michael Mahoney died 17 years ago when she moved to this city.  Surviving are four children, Paul and Max Mahoney and Mrs. James Weaver, all of this city and Maurice J. Mahoney of Santa Barbara, Cal; three grandchildren and three brothers, Wilbur and Jess Grogan of Los Angeles, Cal and Roy Grogan of Indianapolis. She was a member of St. Paul ME Church.  Funeral services will be held from Rogers & Smith Funeral Home at 1 o’clock Monday afternoon with the Rev. H. Earl Moore in charge. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery near Greencastle. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 o’clock Saturday evening. – kbz
