Mrs. Archie (Gladys) Spencer received word of the death of her sister, Mrs. Grace Maddox, who died Friday, Nov. 17, in Circle Terrace Hospital at Alexandria, Va. Mrs. Maddox was born March 6, 1891, in Russell Township, Putnam County, the daughter of George and Nettie Potter. She married Ed Maddox, who preceded her in death. They lived in Greencastle. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dema Morrison of Alexandria, Va., and Mrs. Judy Rosencranz of Newburgh; a sister, Mrs. Spencer; five grandchildren and two great-grandsons. Services were held on Monday in the Rector Funeral Home in Greencastle.

Mrs. Grace Maddox, 81, died yesterday morning in the Circle Terrace Hospital at Alexandria, Virginia.
She was born in Putnam County March 6, 1891, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Potter.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. C. ?. Morrison, Alexandria, Va. and Mrs. Albert Rosencranz, Newburgh, a sister, Mrs. Archie Spencer, Russellville, three grandchildren, Dr. James Morrison, Baltimore, Maryland, Mrs. Gary Meyer, Newburgh and Miss Susan Rosencranz, Santa Barbara, California, and two great-grandchildren, Evan Morrison and Darin Meyer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Maddox, in January 1960; six brothers, Cleon, Jesse, Roy, Charles, Forrest and Orville Potter, and three sisters, Okie Rambo, Ethel Lawter and DeVota Perry.
Services will be held Monday at 11 a. m. at the Rector Funeral Home with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to Gobin United Methodist Church or to the Heart Fund.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p. m. this evening.
