MACE, James Harold - Putnam

Word has been received here of the death of James Harold Mace, 81 of Glasgow, Ky who died there Saturday morning at Homewood Health Care Center.  He was a former resident of Columbus.  Funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Glasgow at Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glasgow.  Born April 12, 1908 Mace was the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Henry Mace.  He was preceded in death by his wife Nellie Mace.  Surviving are children, Donald Mace of Bloomington; Jerry and John Mace both of Columbus; Robert and James Mace, both of LaBelle, Fla; Melvin Mace of Florida; Roy Mace of Seymour and Hazel Bowles of Kentucky; 31 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Doneda Mace. – kbz
