LOVETT, Thomas J. - Putnam

Lovett, Thomas J., 86, died at his home here 1 October.  Mr. Lovett was born 15 March 1858 in Franklin Township, Putnam County, the son of Thomas and Catherine Welsh Lovett. He was married to Lillie. E. Harrison, 18 December 1880 in Ottawa, Canada. He was a farmer all his life and spent twenty five years in Canada, but returned to Indiana in recent years.  The survivors include Mrs. Lovett, the daughter, Mrs. Alice Hall of California; two sons, Ralph of North Salem and Kenneth of Wisconsin; four sisters, Mrs. Nora Thompson, Miss Kate Lovett, Miss Nellie Lovett and Mrs. Nancy Crawley all of Greencastle; two brothers William of Roachdale, and Mike of Cartage; seven grandchildren and one great grandson.  The funeral was held at 2:30 Thursday afternoon at the Chastain Funeral Home.
