LISBY, Arthur R. - Putnam

Funeral services were scheduled Monday afternoon at the Whitaker-Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home for Arthur R. Lisby, 81, Fillmore, who passed away Thursday evening at the Putnam County Hospital. Interment was in the Fillmore Cemetery.

Born March 30,1900 in Putnam County, he was the son of Alva E. and Louisa Maude (Cline) Lisby. He married Mary C. Wright on Aug. 12,1923, and she survives. Mr. Lisby was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

A self-employed plumber and electrician, he was a member of the Fillmore Christian Church, where he served as elder emeritus.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Rachel West, Fillmore; two brothers, Ivan, California, and Raymond, rural Coatesville; three sisters, Stella Cash, Cloverdale, and Melba Gorham and Lola Woods, both of Fillmore; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
