LINGENFELTER, Hester Jester - Putnam

Mrs. Hester Lingenfelter, 82, died at her home west of here Saturday January 8. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Chastain funeral home, with burial in Brick Chapel cemetery. She was born in Clark County, Illinois, January 24, 1855, the daughter of Thomas and Latricia Jester, and on January 10, 1875, she married William Lingenfelter at Bellair, Illinois, he died two years ago. Survivors include a son, Dr. Thomas William Lingenfelter, born March 24, 1876 of near here and a brother, James Jester of Onawa, Iowa and two sisters; Mrs. Lottie Dennis, of Onawa and Mrs. Latricia Pittman of Whiting, Iowa   --- thanks so much to Marilyn Walker for sharing her Roachdale Times obituary collection - greatly appreciated!
