LINGAFELTER, William - Putnam

William A. Lingafelter was born near Newark, Ohio July 28, 1853 and passed away January 7, 1936. At the time of his death he was in his 84th year. When he was 9, his parents moved to Marshall, Illinois. On January 10, 1875, at the age of 22, he and Miss. Hester Jester were married in Crawford Co., Illinois. they located near Tuscola, Douglas Co., Illinois. Their only son Thomas A. , was born near Tuscola. They lived in this county until spring of 192, when they came to Indiana and settled near Bainbridge. They sold their farm and located west of Roachdale. Had Mr. Lingafelter lived but 3 days longer they would have passed their 61st wedding anniversary. Besides his wife and son, one brother and four sisters of southern Illinois survive him.
