CHRISMAN (CNS) – William Nicholas Lientz, 87, of 404 N. New York, Chrisman, a retired farmer and painting contractor and lifetime resident of Edgar County, died at 10 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 12, 1969) at Lake View Memorial in Danville. He was admitted Oct. 7 after suffering a stroke. Born May 25, 1882, he was the son of William and Mary Warmouth Lientz. In 1904, he married the former Emma Wallace who died in 1919. He later married the former Ada Hoult and she died in 1946. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Audrey McCalmont of Indianapolis and Mrs. Elma Handley of Roachdale, Ind., four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A son, two brothers and a sister preceded him in death. He was a member of the Chrisman Baptist Church where he had been elected an honorary lifetime deacon. He also belonged to the Royal Neighbors of America lodge. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Chrisman Baptist Church with the Re. George Lake officiating and burial in Woodland Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Scott-Bolen Funeral Home in Chrisman after 2 p.m. Tuesday.   -– jlr
