Warren R. Lewallen, brother of Onevia Carlock of Martinsville died New Year’s Day in the Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Greencastle. He was a former resident of Bainbridge. The funeral for the 94-year-old man was this morning at 11 o’clock in the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home in Greencastle with burial Brick Chapel Cemetery in Putnam County. Mr. Lewallen was born in Putnam County Sept 7, 1887 to Vester and Alice Arnold Lewallen. Besides the local relative, he is survived by a daughter, Nadene O’Hair of Bainbridge; a son, Eugene Lewallen, Fillmore; 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and a daughter.

Note: Eugene died in May of same year.
