LEAR, Elmer Leroy

The body of Elmer Leroy Lerr, aged 46 of Greencastle, Ind was found by two boys in the restroom of the B-B- gasoline station 222 S Michigan Street about 8:15 p.m. Monday. He died of a heart attack about 8 o’clock according to Coroner TC Goraczewski.  He was born in Greencastle and came to South Bend in February of this year. He was employed as a mechanic by Modern Motors, Inc, 233 North William Street, until a week ago.  He is survived by two sons, Donald and Larry, Greencastle, three brothers, Warren and Donald, Greencastle, and Francis, Fort Wayne and a sister, Mrs. Charles Plant, South Bend. The body was taken from the Hay Funeral Home to the Rector Funeral Home in Greencastle. Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon and burial will be in the Greencastle Cemetery. – kbz
