LEACHMAN, Jerome - Putnam

Jerome B. Leachman was born on March 11, 1873 and died Dec 24, 1912, following an illness of typhoid fever. He was married to Miss Minnie Lane of Ladoga in 1893. To this union were born three children, two sons and one daughter, who are left to mourn the loss of a kind and indulgent husband and father. He united with the Baptist Church at Palestine and lived and died in that vicinity. Rome, as he was known among his friends, was an honest, upright, industrious man and was noted for his kind and sympathetic nature, these graces of mind and heart will ever remain with us as a pleasant memory and while it is true, that it is appointed unto every man once to die,  yet the calling of a noble man at the very threshold of a life of usefulness in a profound mystery.
