The funeral of Forrest D. Layne, age 46, whose death Thursday was believed due partly to injuries received in an automobile accident more than a year ago will be held at the Montgomery Mortuary. Burial will be in Cloverdale, his birthplace. Mr. Layne died in the City Hospital where he had been most of the time since the crash near Stilesville, May 7, 1934 which caused the death of his wife, Mrs. Marie Layne. The hit-run driver who overturned their car in Road 40 never has been caught. Mr. Layne was a farmer in Cloverdale until he came to Indianapolis eight years ago. A daughter, Mrs. Leland Cook, Detroit, is the only survivor.
