Mrs. Ethel Lawter, 84, well known Clinton and Russell township resident passed away at her home in Russellville on Sunday afternoon.

Mrs. Lawter was a member of the Morton Church and Morton Chapter of the Eastern Star No. 356.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W. S. Lawter on June 29, 1959 and one daughter, Madonna Mae.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Noal Nicholson of Morton; one son, Ralph Lawter of Russellville; one granddaughter, Mrs. Daretha Richey of Grand View, Illinois; one grandson, William Neal Lawter of Russellville; three sisters, Mrs. Edward Maddox, Mrs. Devota Berry of Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Archie Spencer of Russellville, and one brother Roy Potter of California.

Friends may call at the McGaughey & Son Funeral Home after 2:00 p. m. today. The ritualistic work of the Eastern Star will be given tonight at 9:00 p. m.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Justus Saalwaechter at the Union Chapel Church near Morton on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p. m. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery.
