Word was
received here of the death of Miss Wilhelmina Sarah Lank, formerly of West
Lafayette which occurred at 4:30 p.m. yesterday at her home in
Greencastle. Born in Independence, she
was graduated from the West Lafayette schools and attended DePauw University
from where she graduated in 1902 from the school of music and was graduated
from the school of arts in 1904. She was a member of the Gobin Memorial
Methodist Church, Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, and Washburn Chapter, DAR, of which
she was formerly regent. She was serving as state DAR Chapter of the Real
Daughters’ committee at the time of her death. Miss Lank was assistant
registrar at DePauw for several years. Her late parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Lank were long residents of West Lafayette before moving to Greencastle where
they had resided since 1898. Services
will be held from the church at Greencastle Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. after which
the body will be brought to Grand View cemetery here for burial at 4 p.m. - transcribed by kbz
