DIED- At Westerville, Iowa, January 25, 1889, of old age, MRS. MAGDALINE LANDES, aged 84 years, 8 months, 12 days.

SISTER LANDES was born on May 13,1804; was married May 2, 1822, by REV. REAMAN SNIDER, on North River, Augusta County, Virginia. She was a member of the M. E. Church for about 65 years.

While living in Greencastle, Putnam County,Indiana, she formed the acquaintance of Bishops SIMPSON and AMES. She often administered to their wants. Moved to Iowa in 1856 and has lived in Clark and Decatur Counties ever since. Sister LANDES was dearly beloved by all.

Four of her children died before she did; six remain to mourn the loss of a mother; one daughter of Topeka, Kansas, one in St Clair County, MO., one son in Murray, DR LANDES, the other three live in or near Westerville.  

The writer conducted the services at the house,then laid her remains away to rest.
