Landes, Ella - Putnam

Mrs. Ella Landes, widow of the late Henry Landes, died this morning at 8:30 o’clock at her residence 303 north Indiana street.  Mrs. Landes had been in poor health for several years, having suffered with organic heart trouble for about five years. Deceased was a noble Christian lady who had many warm friends over the county who will be pained to hear of her death. She was in her 68th year and was the mother of CW and FL Landes, the well known druggists and was idolized by them in a devotion to her every need that was beautiful. They have the sympathy of their many friends in their bereavement. The funeral will occur on Sunday afternoon, services at the family residence, the hour to be announced later. Mrs. Landes was a member of College Avenue ME Church for many years and the pastor, Dr. JH Hollingsworth will officiate at the funeral. – kbz
