LAKIN, Anna - Putnam

Mrs. Anna Lakin, age 79, died Monday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. AE Carrington, 1603 Central Avenue after an illness of six months. Mrs. Lakin came to Indianapolis from Russellville about a year and a half ago to live with her daughter. Funeral services will be conducted at Russellville at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Burial in Russellville.  Mrs. Lakin was born in Fayetteville, PA and came to Indiana with her parents when she was eight years old. The family settled in Russellville where she lived the greater part of her life. She was a member of the Russellville Presbyterian Church. Her husband, Frank L. Lakin, died 28 years ago. Surviving are the daughter and a son, Leroy Lakin, Detroit, Michigan and three grandchildren. – kbz
