“Floyd Township News” -- Died on Aug 22 of stomach trouble, William Kurtz; Mr. Kurtz was one of the pioneers of this vicinity; his death is widely mourned, he having lived an exemplary Christian life; deceased was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church for over 50 years; Rev. Montgomery, assisted by Rev. Hudgins conducted the funeral services; burial at Groveland Cemetery on Aug 23.
