Word has been received of the death of George L. Knoll, 43, of Indianapolis, former resident of the Cloverdale vicinity and 1925 graduate of Purdue which occurred at 5 p.m. Monday at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, following a major operation. For the past 8 years, he had been bridge designing engineer for the state highway department. Surviving are the widow, Lila Martin Knoll, a son, Wayland Eugene; a stepdaughter, Betty Lee Knoll and his father, Clarence Knoll of Poland. Funeral services are Cloverdale at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
