Margaret Knight, wife of Wm. Knight and daughter of John and Sarah McNary, of this village, died Tuesday morning at 5 o'clock, and was buried at Mt. Carmel, after funeral services, Wednesday morning, at the M. E. church, at 11 o'clock. The deceased was dearly loved by all who knew her, and especially by those who knew her best. After a lingering illness of chronic inflammation of the stomach, she has passed away and will be sadly missed by her husband, daughter, relatives and friends. Her soul has took flight to God who gave it. She was a devoted christian and a member of the Methodist church here. She was in the 45th year of age. The funeral was carried out as requested by her, being conducted by Rev. Peck, with singing by the choir. Her disease has been a mystery to the medical profession. She did not seem to suffer physically, or if she did she bore the pain without complaint and without the knowledge of her nearest friends. She also requested that a post mortem examination be held in the presence of two of her nearest neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Day, which was done by skilled physicians and surgeons, and with the results stated. The family and relatives have the entire sympathy of the whole community.
