Mrs. Maude M. KLEIN, 69, the mother of Imogene Gilliland, died at her home near Raccoon on Friday. She was born in Windso, Illinois, the daughter of William and Melissa KELSO. She married Charles Klein, now dead, in 1892. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Imogene Gilliland of Hazard, Ky and Mrs. Florence McGrew of Lafayette; and by 3 sons: Charles L. Klein, Roachdale, William Klein of North Salem and Robert L. Klein of Los Angeles. Funeral services on Sunday were at the Raccoon Methodist Church of which she was a member. Burial was in Roachdale Cemetery.

Mrs. Charles B. Klein of near Raccoon died suddenly early Friday, January 22, of a heart attack. Funeral services were held at the Raccoon Methodist church Sunday afternoon, January 25, with burial in Roachdale cemetery.Survivors include the husband; two daughters, Mrs. Florence McGrew of Lafayette and Mrs. Imogene Gilliland of Hazard, Kentucky; three sons; Charles J. at home, Robert of Los Angeles and William of North Salem, and seven grandchildren. Mrs. Klein had suffered serious injuries in an automobile accident several months ago but had appeared to be in good health prior to the day of her death   --- thanks so much to Marilyn Walker for sharing her Roachdale Times obituary collection - greatly appreciated!
