Mrs. Amanda Jane King, one of the oldest residents of the county (Brazil Times) died at the home of her son, William King at Clay City Saturday afternoon of paralysis at the age of 89 years, 11 months 18 days. The deceased had enjoyed good health until some time ago when she suffered her first stroke of paralysis. Her death was caused by the second stroke. The deceased is survived by six sons and two daughters: Phillip of Clay City; James M. and Jacob of Putnam County; Frank of Washington, Ind; Mrs. Sarah Bennett of Harmony; Mrs. Anna Barnett of Putnam County; Dudley of Lewis and William of Clay City. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Bird Bennett of Carbon and 89 grand and great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, who is Roy King of this city. - kz
