Formerly residing and for many years living in this city died of heart disease at Salt Lake City, Utah where she had gone to reside with her daughter, wife of Rev. GC Waynick, formerly of the Iowa Conference, ME Church. The deceased was 70 years 1 month and 24 days of age, having spent little less than a year in that Territory. She had received benefit from asthma from the climate, but from the former disease which asserted itself, passed away suddenly while in conversation with friends. She said, “I have no more fear of dying than of falling to sleep,” and thus passed away in the full assurance of the Christian faith. She was a member of the ME Church. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Dr. Merrill of Omaha, who was visiting the family friends at the time of the death, which occurred on June 10 and on Sunday the 12th was laid away at rest awaiting the last trumpet of the resurrection morn.
