Danville – Funeral services were
scheduled Wednesday for John A. Kendall, 85, a former appellate judge and state
lawmaker. Kendall, who most recently
resided in Greencastle, died Saturday. The Indiana University graduate practice
law for 56 years before retiring in 1987 and was a former president of the
Indiana Bar Association. Kendall, a Republican, served six years as Hendricks
County prosecutor in the 1930s. He then served two terms each in the Indiana
House of Representatives and the Indiana Senate, where he was chairman of the
Senate Budge Committee for five years. Kendall also was elected to the
