Fred Kendall, the only son of Jesse and Harriet (Hattie) Stringer Kendall, died Thursday December 20, at Putnam Co. Hospital. He was born in New Maysville, Indiana November 29, 1902, age 32 years and 20 days. He married June 9, 1932 to Juanita Bell, who survives, along with a little daughter, Joyce Marie, his father, and one Sister, Mrs. Lena Asher of Indianapolis, a Sister preceded him January 11, 1916. Also an aged Grandmother survives   --- thanks so much to Marilyn Walker for sharing her Roachdale Times obituary collection - greatly appreciated!

Greencastle, Dec 21 – Fred Kendall, age 30, died in Putnam County Hospital here of injuries suffered when he became entangled in the machinery of a sawmill he operated at New Maysville, Ind Wednesday. His right arm was mangled. Survivors include the widow and a daughter.
