Ronnie Rex Kehrer, 60, Veradale, Wash., died Friday after a lengthy illness. Born May 21, 1937 at Indianapolis, he was the son of Albert and Hazel [Knauer] Kehrer.

He attended Clinton Center school and graduated from Greencastle High School in 1955. He served in the U. S. Navy, and moved from Boise, Idaho, in 1971 to Spokane, Wash., where he was general manager of Hollenback AMC/Jeep dealership. He was owner/manager of Kehrer Kar Korral until it closed in January 1989 due to his health problemss.

Kehrer was a member of Idaho El Korah Shrine, Idaho Masonic Lodge No. 1, and El Katif Shrine of Spokane.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Kehrer; a son, Lance Kehrer, Spokane; three step-children, Dennis Gilbert, Yreka, Calif; M. Shane Gilbert, Ketchum, Idaho, and Kelli Ann Gilbert, Boise, Idaho; two brothers, William Kehrer, Avon, and Richard Kehrer, Indianapolis; a sister, Sandra Aker, Reelsville; and four step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be at 1 p. m. Friday in the Colonial Chapel at Hazen and Jaeger Valley, N. 1306 Pines Road, Spokane, 99206, with Pastor Jack Barker officiating.
