KECK, Robert H. - Putnam

Funeral services were held at the New Maysville Baptist church Sunday morning for Robert H. Keck, 73, who died at his home there Friday morning, November 6. He had been ill six weeks. Mr. Keck was born February 15, 1869, in Kentucky, the son of Madison and Deborah Steele Keck. He was married July 16, 1886, to Bell McHargue in Kentucky. Mr. Keck had spent the past fifty four years of his life in Putnam county. Surviving are the widow; four sons; William H. Keck and Hiram Keck of New Maysville, Lee Keck of near here and Kenneth Keck of California; five daughters; Mrs. Pearl Elliott of New Maysville and Mrs. Deborah Kiser, Mrs. Dale Desbain, Mrs. Ruby Reed and Mrs. Lona Bell, all of Indianapolis, thirty one grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one brother; Hiram Keck and one sister Margaret Eggers both of Barnard.   --- thanks so much to Marilyn Walker for sharing her Roachdale Times obituary collection - greatly appreciated!
