KARNS, Ethel Kahle - Putnam

Mrs. Ethel Blanche Karns, 87, died yesterday in her home at 2918 North Denny Street. She was born at Greencastle and had lived here most of her life. Mrs. Karns, widow of Otto Karns, was employed with the former Hoosier Veneer Company 15 years, retiring in 1967. She was a member of East 49th Street Christian Church and its Wonder Workers Class and was a 50-year member of Brightwood Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. She also was a past noble grand of Neola Rebekkah Lodge 362.  Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Harry W. Moore Arlington Chapel with burial in Washington Park East Cemetery.  Survivors include 3 daughters: Mrs. Dorothy Fugit of Vincennes and Mrs. Gretta Clark and Mrs. Irene Rogers both of Indianapolis and a son, Fred W. Karns of Indianapolis.
