Caroline Neusbaumer was born Jan 26, 1834 in Zeiken, nes Millheim, Baden, Germany and departed this life at her home in Stanberry, Mo Dec 7th 1915 at the age of 81 years 10 months and 11 days.  She was graduated from the high school at Millheim, Baden, Germany at the age of 14 years. In the 50s she left her native land and her dear ones and came to America, locating in Putnam County, Indiana where she was married to John Kamerer of Green Castle (sic) Indiana on October 6th, 1874. To this union one daughter, Elsie, was born. She and her husband came to Gentry County Mo in 1879 where they resided for three years, later moving to Stanberry where she resided with her husband and daughter until her death. In her girlhood she united with the Lutheran church and continued steadfast, living a faithful Christian until the end. She is survived by a devoted husband and daughter, also a goodly number of nieces and nephews. The funeral services were conducted at the family residence in East Stanberry at 2 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. JE Wilkins and the remains were laid to rest in High Ridge cemetery. In the snuffing out of the candle of Auntie Kamerer as she was familiarly known by her friends and neighbors, the husband and daughter have sustained an irreparable loss of a loving, faithful and devoted companion and mother and the friends a sincere and unfailing friend. The influence of her pure Christian character is left as a legacy to her loved ones and friends.
