Gay F. Kaiser, 58, Flat Rock rural mail carrier died Saturday afternoon while sitting in his automobile in Lawrenceville. Mr. Kaiser had come to Lawrenceville to consult Dr. WI Green, accompanied by his wife. They had visited the physician and returned to the automobile. Soon after Mr. Kaiser was seated in the car he died. He had been a mail carrier for a number of years and would have been eligible for retirement in two years. He was the carrier at Birds and after the route was taken off at Birds was transferred to the Flat Rock route which served much of his former territory. Surviving are the widow and one son, Bydus, a student at University of Illinois. There are also three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Wyatt of Olney; Mrs. Dorothy Curtis of Salem and Mrs. Hattie Dasch of Lawrenceville. The funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Flat Rock with the Rev. LA Magill and Rev. LeRoy Pittman officiating. Burial was in Haven Hill cemetery at Olney. NOTE: Gay was born 29 Nov 1892 in Putnam County, Indiana to Frank P and Mattie Taylor Kaiser. - kbz
