Brazil, Ind., Dec. 18 -- Oliver Johnson, farmer, formerly of Jackson Twp., died Thursday at his home at Williamstown, Ohio after an illness of three years of complications aged 55 years. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Lula Johnson and two sons, Irwin of Williamstown, Ohio and Myron of Brazil, IN; also two brothers and two sisters:  Henry Johnson of Terre Haute and William Johnson of Putnam; County, Mrs. Stanley Palm and Mrs. Alma Dobson of Knightsville.  The remains will be brought to this city Saturday and will be taken to Miller & Sons funeral parlor pending funeral arrangements.

Funeral services for Oliver Johnson, formerly of Jackson Township, who died Thursday at his home at Williamstown, Ohio, will be held at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon at  the Wesley Chapel church, interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery.  The remains arrived in the city this afternoon and were taken to Miller & Sons' Funeral Parlors pending the funeral.

Oliver Johnson, son of Oliver B. Johnson and Matilda McCullough Johnson was born in Jackson Twp, Clay Co., IN on April 4, 1881.  He died at Williamsburg, OH, Dec 17, 1936, aged 55 years, 8 months and 13 days.  In the spring of 1912, he was united in marriage with Anna Haddon. To this union three children were born:  Irwin, Lucille and Myron.  His wife Anna died March 6, 1921 and Lucille joined her mother a few years later. Aug. 12, 1923, he was married to Lula Girton.  Oliver was a farmer and lived most all his life on the old Johnson homestead until 7 years ago when he, his wife and Irwin moved to PA and from there to a farm near Willliamsburg, OH where he spent his last days.  He had been in poor health for the past two years and this last year had been unable to do any work at all.  Oliver never affiliated with any church, yet he lived a good life.  A month or so ago, he had a wonderful vision and a true conversion, after which he talked of and planned the many things he wanted to live to do.  He is survived the wofe, Lula, and two sons: Irwin of Williamsburg, OH and Myron of Brazil; two brothers Henry of Burnett and William of Putnam County; and two sisters Mrs. Mary Palm and Mrs. Alma Dobson of Knightsville and many other relatives and friends.  He was also preceeded in death by his father, mother, one brother McClean and a sister, Bertha.
