JOHNSON, John B. - Putnam

Mr. John B. Johnson died at his late residence in this city on oct 3 of cancer of the liver after confinement to his bed for only a short time, though he had been ailing all summer.  Deceased had been a resident of Putnam County since 1821 first living in Warren Township next in Jackson and then in this city, becoming a resident here in 1854. Mr. Johnson was in his 79th year of his age and had long been an active member of the ME Church.  His wife and son survive him. The funeral took place from College Ave Church on Tuesday afternoon the services being conducted by Dr. SB Town. - kbz
