Brazil, Ind March 30 – Andrew J. Johnson, 79 years old, retired farmer of Madison Township, Putnam County died Thursday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Olan Bain at Cloverdale.  He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Mary Thomas Johnson; two sons and five daughters, Leon Johnson, Linton; Frank Johnson, Alexandria, NC; Mrs. Oliver Dillinger, Floral City, Fla; Mrs. Olan Bain, Cloverland (sic – Cloverdale?); Mrs. Lola Thompson, Dana; Mrs. Anna Burk, Cloverdale and Mrs. Emily Jane, Greencastle; also a brother and two sisters, Alva Johnson, Grand Forks, ND; Mrs. Mary Wright, Greencastle, Mrs. Flora Copenhefer, Portland, Ore; 15 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. The body was removed to the Whitaker Funeral Home at Cloverdale. – kz
