JEFFRIES, Lona O. - Putnam

Lona O. Jeffries, 72, of near Roachdale, died at Culver Hospital Wednesday morning. He was born near Roachdale October 24, 1865, the son of John and Nancy Stewart Jeffries. In 1901 he married Nellie Gott, who survives. Other survivors are two daughters; Mrs. Owen Wimmer, of Rockville, Mrs. Ward Carmichael of St. Louis, Missouri; a brother, Leonard Jeffries of this place, two sisters; Mrs. Charles Gregory and Mrs. W. W. Key of near here. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at the Sand Creek United Brethern church near Rockville, with burial in Roachdale cemetery --   ---thanks so very much to Marilyn Walker for sharing her Roachdale Times obituary collection - greatly appreciated.
