James Thomas Jeffries, 65 of Brazil, Ind died Friday at Brazil. Mr. Jeffries had owned and operated upholstery shops at Roachdale, Greencastle and Phoenix, AZ. He was a veteran of the Army and a member of Roachdale Christian Church. He was graduated from Ladoga HS. He was born Jan 11, 1927 at Ladoga, the son of Jewell L. and Mary E. Lame Jeffries. He married Virginia Lou Nelson June 30, 1945 at Ladoga. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Thomas of Bloomington and Jack of Lebanon; two daughters, Jill DeLong of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Jerald (Cindy) Calandrilla of Brazil; five brother, Harvey and Philip of Ladoga; Jerry of Roachdale; Bob of Rockville and Ralph of Indianapolis; three sisters, Barbara Davidson of Crawfordsville; Betty Brennan of Jamestown and Becky Jeffries of San Diego, Calif; 9 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Servies & Morgan Funeral Home at Roachdale with Rev. Rob Bloss officiating and David Jeffries assisting. Burial will be in Roachdale cemetery.
