JEFFRIES, Angelina Brandon - Putnam

Mrs. Lina Jeffries, widow of the late Charles C. Jeffries, died at her home East of Browns Valley on Sunday night after a week's illness of pneumonia. She was the daughter of WC & Katherine Brandon and was b. March 11, 1877. She married Mr. Jeffries in 1896. She is survived by 4 sons: Ralph; Homer; Lloyd and Clarence. Funeral services at the Browns Valley Christian Church on Tuesday were conducted by Rev Cecil Franklin. Burial in Roachdale cemetery. One son met with a tragic death when his truck collided with an abutment when the county was building the North part of Rd 47 in 1928.   -- kbz
